К нам в руки попадает обычный американский фермер, в один не очень прекрасный вечер обнаруживший, что его двор облюбовала шайка зомби. Такой поворот событий не понравился сельчанину. Лихо проучив незваных гостей молотком и двустволкой, он отправился в единственный оставшийся город пока-что-еще-живых — Фиддлерс Грин. Путь туда устлан не желтым кирпичом, а тушками мозгоедов. Будут вам, дорогие фанаты жанра, и ночной забег по кукурузному полю под аккомпанемент изголодавшихся "жмуров", и визит в госпиталь с обновленным персоналом, и вынужденное убийство покусанного товарища, и прочее, прочее, прочее… Увы, на жалкие попытки напугать без слез не взглянешь. Во-первых, здесь совершенно нет темноты. Оно и понятно: корректная игра света и тени не под силу "пламенному мотору". Во-вторых, простота прохождения. При должном умении можно пролететь от стартового меню до финальных титров без единой царапины. В-третьих, всем этим народ стращали неоднократно, выработался стойкий иммунитет. Тухляки ломятся в двери. Трупы оживают, едва почуяв игрока. Нервно дергаются пластиковые пакеты...

"Операции" с динозаврами — занятие не менее классное и прибыльное, чем эксплуатирование темы мумий и египетских пирамид. Их обожают и взрослые, и дети, поэтому в плане общественной интеграции с нашими (или все-таки не нашими?) доисторическими предками сравниться кому-либо тяжело. Сложно сказать, что именно подвигло разработчиков на создание очередного паркостроительного кошмара, но, боюсь, их стремления были бесконечно далеки от идеалов высокого искусства.
