Barbara Mori is a Mexican-Uruguayan actress and model, best known for her work in both Mexican and international cinema. She was born on February 2, 1978, in Montevideo, Uruguay, to a Japanese-Uruguayan father and Mexican mother. At an early age, her family moved to Mexico City, where she began her acting career. Mori made her breakthrough in the entertainment industry with her role as Rubi in the popular Mexican telenovela of the same name, which aired in 2004.
