Biography
Colin O’Donoghue is an Irish actor and musician, best known for his role as Captain Hook in the hit television series Once Upon a Time. He was born on January 26, 1981, in Drogheda, County Louth, Ireland. O’Donoghue’s passion for acting blossomed from a young age, and he pursued his dream by studying drama at the prestigious Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin. In 2003, he made his professional stage debut in the play Othello at the George Bernard Shaw Theatre. After making a name for himself in the theater scene, O’Donoghue began appearing in Irish and British television shows, including Love Is the Drug and The Clinic. However, his breakthrough came in 2012 when he was cast as the iconic Captain Hook in the American fantasy series Once Upon a Time. His portrayal of the charming and charismatic pirate captain garnered international attention and praise. O’Donoghue’s mesmerizing performance showcased his versatility and charisma, propelling him to international stardom.
