Dana Andrews was an American actor born on January 1, 1909, in Collins, Mississippi. He was the third of thirteen children in his family. Andrews grew up in Texas and attended Sam Houston State University, where he studied business administration. However, his interest in acting soon took over, and he dropped out of university to pursue a career in the film industry.
