Elisabeth Hasselbeck is an American television personality and author, best known for her time as a co-host on the daytime talk show, The View. She was born on May 28, 1977, in Cranston, Rhode Island. Hasselbeck grew up in a tight-knit Italian-American family and had a passion for sports from a young age. After completing high school, Hasselbeck attended Boston College, where she excelled in academics and played as a standout softball player. Her talent and dedication led her to be drafted in the sixth round of the 1998 Women’s National Football League draft by the Buffalo Bills. However, her NFL career was short-lived, as she opted to retire and pursue other interests. Hasselbeck’s television career began in 2001 when she participated in the second season of the CBS reality show, Survivor: The Australian Outback. Her competitive spirit and strong personality made her a fan favorite, and she finished in fourth place. This experience opened doors for her in the media industry. In 2003, Hasselbeck joined the all-female panel of The View, where she became known for her conservative political views.
