Emily Kinney is an American actress and singer-songwriter, best known for her role as Beth Greene on the hit TV series The Walking Dead. She was born on August 15, 1985, in Wayne, Nebraska. Kinney developed a passion for performing arts at a young age and began taking dance and acting lessons. After completing high school, Kinney moved to New York City to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress. She studied at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater. Kinney’s breakthrough came in 2011 when she landed the role of Beth Greene on The Walking Dead. Her character quickly became a fan favorite, and Kinney’s portrayal of Beth’s vulnerability and strength resonated with audiences. She appeared on the show for four seasons until her character’s tragic death in 2014. Apart from her acting career, Kinney is also a talented singer-songwriter. She released her debut EP, Expired Love, in 2013, and has since released several other albums, including This Is War and Oh, Jonathan.
