Biography
Ewa Aulin is a Swedish-Italian actress and model, best known for her role in the cult film Candy (1968). She was born on February 13, 1950, in Landskrona, Sweden, to Italian parents. Aulin’s stunning looks and vivacious personality led her to a successful career in modeling at a young age. At the age of 16, Aulin was discovered by Italian film producer Dino De Laurentiis, who convinced her to pursue acting. Her debut in the film world came with a bang when she landed the lead role in Candy, based on the eponymous novel by Terry Southern and Mason Hoffenberg. The film, although controversial, gained a cult following and showcased Aulin’s talent and beauty to a global audience. Following the success of Candy, Aulin went on to appear in various European films, including Death Laid an Egg (1968) and The Secret of Santa Vittoria (1969), alongside actors such as Anthony Quinn and Virna Lisi. However, despite her early success, Aulin struggled to break through in Hollywood and decided to step back from acting in the early 1970s. Aulin’s career in the entertainment industry took a different direction after her hiatus from acting. She moved to Los Angeles and began working as a fashion designer.
