Fedor Emelianenko, often referred to as The Last Emperor, is a retired Russian mixed martial artist and considered one of the greatest heavyweight fighters of all time. He was born on September 28, 1976, in the Rubizhne region of Ukraine, which was then a part of the Soviet Union. Emelianenko began his martial arts journey at a young age, participating in judo and sambo (a form of combat sport indigenous to Russia). With his remarkable skills and dedication, he quickly excelled in these disciplines, achieving numerous championships and accolades. This laid the foundation for his transition into the world of professional mixed martial arts (MMA). In 2000, Emelianenko made his professional MMA debut and went on to dominate the heavyweight division for over a decade. He displayed incredible technique, agility, and knockout power, earning himself a reputation as an unstoppable force in the sport. With an impressive record of 39 wins, 6 losses, and 1 draw, he defeated several legendary fighters and became the Pride Heavyweight Champion, as well as a three-time World Combat Sambo Champion.
