George Michael was an English singer, songwriter, and record producer born on June 25, 1963. Born as Georgios Kyriacos Panayiotou in London, he rose to fame as a member of the pop duo Wham! alongside his childhood friend Andrew Ridgeley in the early 1980s. The duo found great success with hits like Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and Last Christmas. After Wham! disbanded in 1986, George Michael embarked on a highly successful solo career. He released his debut solo album Faith in 1987, which spawned several chart-topping singles, including the title track, Father Figure, and One More Try. The album showcased his soulful voice, innovative productions, and mature songwriting skills, earning him widespread critical acclaim and commercial success. Throughout his career, George Michael continued to release hit albums such as Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1 (1990) and Older (1996), which showcased his versatility as an artist. He consistently topped the charts with songs like Careless Whisper, Jesus to a Child, and Fastlove, displaying his ability to combine pop sensibilities with R&B and soul influences.
