Gina Gershon is an American actress and singer, born on June 10, 1962, in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in a Jewish family with her father, a businessman, and her mother, a interior decorator. Gershon developed a passion for acting at a young age and decided to pursue it as a career. After completing her high school education, Gershon attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She honed her acting skills and began performing in theater productions. In 1981, she made her on-screen debut in the television film Beatlemania. Gina’s breakthrough role came in 1986 when she starred in the cult film Vamp, gaining critical acclaim for her performance. This success opened doors for her in Hollywood, and she went on to appear in several hit movies such as Red Heat (1988), Cocktail (1988), and Face/Off (1997).
