Gloria Swanson was an iconic American actress, producer, and businesswoman. She was born on March 27, 1899, in Chicago, Illinois. Swanson is best known for her glamorous persona and pivotal roles during the silent film era. Swanson began her career as a fashion model and made her acting debut in 1914. After gaining recognition for her talent and beauty, she signed a contract with Paramount Pictures in 1916. Swanson became one of the highest-paid actresses of the time and starred in numerous successful silent movies. Her breakthrough came with the 1925 film Zaza, where she showcased her versatility and range as an actress. Swanson collaborated with renowned director Cecil B.
