Biography

Jean Reno is a highly acclaimed French actor known for his versatile performances in both Hollywood and French cinema. He was born on July 30, 1948, in Casablanca, Morocco. Reno, whose real name is Juan Moreno y Herrera-Jimenez, moved to France with his family in his early teens. Reno started his acting career on the stage, performing in various French theater productions before landing his breakthrough role in the French film The Hypothesis of the Stolen Painting in 1978. However, it was Luc Besson’s action-thriller The Big Blue in 1988 that propelled him to international fame.
