Jennifer Nettles is an American singer-songwriter and actress who gained prominence as the lead vocalist of the country music duo Sugarland. She was born on September 12, 1974, in Douglas, Georgia. Nettles began her music career in the late 1990s as part of the group Soul Miner’s Daughter. However, it was with the formation of Sugarland in 2003 that she achieved significant success.
