Josh Holloway is an American actor best known for his role as James Sawyer Ford in the hit television series Lost. He was born on July 20, 1969, in San Jose, California. Holloway grew up in a small town in Georgia, where he developed a love for the outdoors and sports. Before his acting career took off, Holloway worked a variety of odd jobs, including construction, waiting tables, and as a runway model. However, his true passion was always for acting and he eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream. Holloway’s big break came in 2004 when he was cast as Sawyer in Lost, a role that made him a household name. His portrayal of the complex and mysterious character won him critical acclaim and legions of fans around the world.
