Karisma Kapoor, born on June 25, 1974, is a renowned Indian actress who has made her mark in the Hindi film industry, commonly known as Bollywood. Hailing from a family deeply rooted in the film industry, with her father, Randhir Kapoor, and grandfather, Raj Kapoor, being prominent actors and filmmakers, she was destined for stardom. Karisma made her acting debut at the tender age of seventeen with the film Prem Qaidi in 1991, which received a lukewarm response. However, her breakthrough came with the blockbuster film Raja Hindustani in 1996, where she portrayed the character of Aarti, a woman from a humble background falling in love with a rickshaw driver. Her remarkable performance earned her widespread recognition and she went on to win the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Actress. During the late 90s and early 2000s, Karisma Kapoor became one of the most sought-after actresses in Bollywood. She delivered numerous hit films, including Dil To Pagal Hai, Biwi No.1, Fiza, and Zubeidaa.
