Lana Turner was an American film actress, born on February 8, 1921, in Wallace, Idaho. She signed a contract with Warner Bros. and made her film debut in 1937. However, it was in the 1940s that she rose to prominence as a glamorous leading lady. Throughout the 1940s and 1950s, Turner appeared in numerous successful films, including The Postman Always Rings Twice (1946) and Peyton Place (1957), which earned her critical acclaim and established her as a sex symbol. Despite her success on the silver screen, Turner faced personal struggles throughout her life, including a tumultuous love life and a challenging relationship with her daughter.
