Laura Marano is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Born on November 29, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, she comes from a family with a rich background in the entertainment industry. Her mother is a former actress, and her father is a college professor. Marano’s passion for performing arts ignited at a young age when she started pursuing acting opportunities in commercials and theater productions. In 2003, she made her first appearance in a major television show, as a guest star on Without a Trace. This breakthrough led to numerous roles in popular shows like Ghost Whisperer and The Sarah Silverman Program. However, it was her portrayal of the fun-loving and lovable character, Ally Dawson, in the hit Disney Channel series Austin & Ally, that catapulted Marano to international fame. Throughout the show’s four seasons from 2011 to 2016, she demonstrated her acting prowess and also had the opportunity to showcase her musical talents by recording several songs for the show’s soundtrack. Marano’s musical abilities extend far beyond her work on Austin & Ally. In 2015, she released her debut single, Boombox, which received widespread acclaim and amassed millions of views on YouTube.
