Lauren Graham is an American actress and author, best known for her portrayal of Lorelai Gilmore in the popular television series Gilmore Girls. She was born on March 16, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii. Raised in a single-parent household, Graham grew up in Northern Virginia and later moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. Graham made her breakthrough in 2000 when she landed the role of Lorelai Gilmore, a quick-witted and charismatic single mother.
