Biography
Lene Nystrom is a Danish-Norwegian singer, songwriter, and actress, best known as the lead vocalist of the pop group Aqua. She was born on October 2, 1973, in Tonsberg, Norway. Growing up, Lene developed a passion for music and began her musical journey at a young age. In the early 1990s, Lene joined the pop group Joyspeed, which eventually evolved into Aqua. In 1997, Aqua released their debut album Aquarium, which became a massive commercial success worldwide. The album featured hit singles like Barbie Girl and Dr. Jones, which topped the charts and propelled Lene and Aqua to global fame. As the frontwoman of Aqua, Lene’s energetic and captivating stage presence, along with her unique vocal range, won her a loyal fan base. The group released two more albums, Aquarius in 2000 and Megalomania in 2011, before taking a hiatus.
