Mark Ruffalo is an American actor, producer, and environmental activist. He was born on November 22, 1967, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Ruffalo’s father worked in construction, and his mother was a hairdresser. He grew up in a tight-knit Italian-American family with two sisters. Ruffalo discovered his passion for acting while attending Stella Adler Conservatory, a renowned acting school in Los Angeles. After honing his skills on stage, he made his film debut in 1999 with a small role in The Dentist. However, it was his breakthrough performance in the 2000 film You Can Count on Me that brought him critical acclaim. He received nominations for several prestigious awards, including an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Throughout his career, Ruffalo has delivered captivating performances in a wide range of films. He played the role of a sperm donor in The Kids Are All Right (2010), a mentally ill man in Infinitely Polar Bear (2014), and a troubled detective in Zodiac (2007). Ruffalo’s most notable role is that of Bruce Banner, also known as The Hulk, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He first portrayed the character in The Avengers (2012) and has since appeared in numerous Marvel films, becoming a fan favorite.
