Matt Bomer is an American actor best known for his roles in popular television shows and films. He was born on October 11, 1977, in Webster Groves, Missouri, to parents Elizabeth Macy and John O’Neill Bomer IV. Bomer grew up in a close-knit family and developed an interest in acting from a young age. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Bomer moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. He began his professional acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in minor roles in television shows such as Guiding Light and Tru Calling. However, it was his breakthrough role in the USA Network series White Collar that brought him widespread recognition. From 2009 to 2014, Bomer portrayed the character of Neal Caffrey, a charming and skilled con artist-turned-FBI consultant. Following the success of White Collar, Bomer garnered attention for his portrayal of Felix Turner, a journalist with HIV/AIDS, in the HBO television film The Normal Heart (2014).
