Biography
Perrie Edwards is an English singer-songwriter and one-fourth of the multi-platinum girl group, Little Mix. She was born on July 10, 1993, in South Shields, England. From a young age, Perrie knew she wanted to pursue a career in music and began singing and performing in local talent shows. In 2011, Perrie auditioned for the reality TV show, The X Factor UK. She impressed the judges with her powerful vocals and was put in a group called Little Mix alongside Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Little Mix went on to win the competition, becoming the first group to do so in the show’s history. After their victory on The X Factor, Little Mix signed with Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco Music. They released their debut single Wings in 2012, which topped the UK Singles Chart and paved the way for their successful music career. Perrie’s distinct and captivating voice became one of the defining elements of Little Mix’s sound. Over the years, Perrie has contributed to numerous hit singles with Little Mix, such as Black Magic, Shout Out to My Ex, and Woman Like Me. The group has received several accolades, including Brit Awards and MTV Europe Music Awards. Aside from her success with Little Mix, Perrie has also ventured into solo projects. She has collaborated with artists like Zayn Malik, her former fiance and former member of One Direction, on the song Secret Love Song. Perrie’s talent and dedication have made her one of the most recognized and influential figures in the music industry. Her distinctive voice, along with her confident and fierce stage presence, has garnered her a loyal fan base worldwide.
