Pierre Richard is a French actor, comedian, and filmmaker who is known for his distinct physical and slapstick comedy style. He was born on August 16, 1934, in Valenciennes, France. Richard initially studied architecture at the Lycee Pierre-Corneille in Rouen, but soon realized his true passion lay in acting. His breakthrough came in 1968 when he starred in the film Alexandre le bienheureux, directed by Yves Robert.
