Pom Klementieff is a French actress who gained international recognition for her role as Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Born on May 3, 1986, in Quebec City, Canada, Klementieff comes from a culturally diverse background. Her father is French-Russian, and her mother is Korean. Klementieff experienced a challenging childhood as her parents divorced when she was young, and her father passed away shortly after. Raised by her mother, she moved frequently between countries, including Japan, Congo, and France. These global experiences exposed her to various cultures and languages, fostering her adaptability and love for international cinema. While attending school in France, Klementieff studied law with the intent of pursuing a career as a lawyer. However, her passion for acting ultimately led her to attend the Cours Florent drama school in Paris. Graduating in 2007, she began her professional acting career in French cinema.
