Biography
Redman, whose real name is Reginald Noble, is an American rapper, record producer, and actor. He was born on April 17, 1970, in Newark, New Jersey. Redman’s love for music began at a young age, when he formed a rap group called the Def Squad in high school. In 1990, Redman gained recognition when he featured on the hit song Come on, Let’s Move It by EPMD. This caught the attention of Def Jam Recordings, and he soon signed a record deal with them. Redman’s debut album, Whut? Thee Album, was released in 1992 and achieved critical and commercial success. The album’s single, Time 4 Sum Aksion, reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. Redman continued to make a name for himself in the rap industry with his distinct voice, clever wordplay, and energetic performances. He released several successful albums, including Dare Iz a Darkside (1994), Muddy Waters (1996), and Doc’s Da Name 2000 (1998).
