Biography

Ronnie Coleman is an American retired professional bodybuilder and one of the most decorated athletes in the history of the sport. He was born on May 13, 1964, in Monroe, Louisiana. Coleman discovered his passion for weightlifting during his college years at Grambling State University, where he pursued a degree in accounting. Despite playing football as a middle linebacker, Coleman found himself drawn to bodybuilding. In 1990, Coleman entered his first bodybuilding competition, the Mr. Texas, where he placed first. This victory sparked his journey to becoming one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. Starting in the late 1990s, Coleman dominated the bodybuilding world, winning the prestigious Mr. Olympia title eight consecutive times from 1998 to 2005. This record remains unbroken, tying him with Lee Haney for the most Mr. Olympia victories. Known for his sheer mass and incredible muscularity, Coleman’s physique revolutionized the sport of bodybuilding. He was admired for his unimaginable strength and his ability to lift heavy weights during his intense training sessions.
