Russell Crowe is a highly acclaimed New Zealand actor, film producer, and musician. He was born on April 7, 1964, in Wellington, New Zealand. Crowe comes from a family involved in the entertainment industry, with both his parents working as film set caterers. Crowe’s acting career began in the late 1980s in Australia, where he gained recognition for his roles in films such as Romper Stomper (1992) and The Sum of Us (1994). However, it was his portrayal of Maximus Decimus Meridius in the epic film Gladiator (2000) that catapulted him to international stardom and earned him an Academy Award for Best Actor. Since then, Crowe has showcased his versatility by taking on a wide range of roles in various genres. He has starred in critically acclaimed films such as A Beautiful Mind (2001), Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), and Cinderella Man (2005).
