Samuel Henry John Worthington is an Australian actor and producer, best known for his roles in blockbuster films such as Avatar and Clash of the Titans. He was born on August 2, 1976, in Surrey, England, to English parents. At a young age, Worthington moved to Perth, Australia, with his family, where he spent the majority of his childhood. Worthington developed an interest in acting at a young age and started his career in the Australian film industry. He gained recognition for his performances in movies like Bootmen and Dirty Deeds, which earned him critical acclaim. His breakthrough role came in 2009 when he was cast as Jake Sully in James Cameron’s science fiction epic, Avatar. The film’s immense success catapulted Worthington into international stardom. Following the success of Avatar, Worthington starred in a number of high-profile films, including Clash of the Titans, Terminator Salvation, and Man on a Ledge.
