Susan Lucci is an American actress and television personality, best known for her iconic role as Erica Kane on the popular daytime drama All My Children. Born on December 23, 1946, in Scarsdale, New York, Lucci developed a passion for performing at a young age. Lucci attended Marymount College, where she studied drama and fine arts, and later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She made her television debut in 1969 on the show Love is a Many Splendored Thing and went on to appear in various TV series and films. However, it was in 1970 that Lucci landed the role of Erica Kane on All My Children, which would become her most notable and long-running character. Portraying the complicated and glamorous Erica for over four decades, Lucci captivated audiences with her exceptional acting skills and undeniable charisma. Her character became synonymous with soap opera drama, and Lucci became a household name.
