Tatum O’Neal is an American actress and author, best known for being the youngest ever Academy Award winner. She was born on November 5, 1963, in Los Angeles, California, to famous actor Ryan O’Neal and actress Joanna Moore. O’Neal’s career in the entertainment industry began when she was just ten years old when she was cast alongside her father in the film Paper Moon (1973). Her exceptional performance as a young con artist in the Depression-era comedy-drama earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, making her the youngest person to ever receive the prestigious honor. Following her success in Paper Moon, O’Neal went on to star in several successful films throughout the 1970s, including The Bad News Bears (1976), International Velvet (1978), and Little Darlings (1980). Her talent and versatility as an actress solidified her status as a rising star in Hollywood. However, as O’Neal entered adulthood, her personal life became tumultuous.
