Tina Fey is an American actress, writer, and comedian, known for her remarkable contributions to the world of comedy. Born on May 18, 1970, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, Fey initially pursued her studies in drama and comedy, where she honed her skills and explored her passion for performing arts. Fey rose to prominence when she became a writer for the legendary comedy sketch show, Saturday Night Live (SNL), in 1997.
