Victoria Principal is an American actress, author, and philanthropist, widely recognized for her role as Pamela Barnes Ewing in the popular TV series Dallas. She was born on January 3, 1950, in Fukuoka, Japan, to a United States Air Force sergeant and a nude dancer. Principal’s family relocated frequently during her childhood due to her father’s military service. She attended various schools across the United States, which contributed to her adaptability and independence. After completing high school in Florida, she enrolled at Miami-Dade Community College to study medicine with the aim of becoming a practitioner. However, Principal’s life took a turn when she was involved in a severe car accident that left her with multiple injuries, including facial lacerations. During her recovery, she decided to explore her passion for acting and moved to Los Angeles. In 1970, she made her acting debut in the film The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, starring opposite Paul Newman.
