Deborah Harry is an iconic American singer, songwriter, and actress, famously known as the lead vocalist of the punk rock band, Blondie. She was born on July 1, 1945, in Miami, Florida. With her distinctive vocals and punk-inspired style, Harry became a pioneering figure in the music industry. Before her music career took off, Harry initially pursued a career in acting and worked as a waitress to support herself. In the late 1960s, she moved to New York City and began performing in off-Broadway plays. In the mid-1970s, Harry co-founded the band Blondie alongside guitarist Chris Stein.
