Biography
Liev Schreiber was born on October 4, 1967 in San Francisco, California. He grew up in a creative and intellectual household, as his mother was a painter and his father was a stage actor. Schreiber developed a passion for acting from a young age, participating in school plays and community theater productions. After graduating from Hampshire College with a degree in theater arts, Schreiber moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. He quickly gained recognition for his stage performances, including his Tony Award-winning portrayal of Barry Champlain in the play Talk Radio. Schreiber made his film debut in the 1994 movie Mixed Nuts and went on to appear in various films, demonstrating his versatility as an actor. He received critical acclaim for his role as Cotton Weary in the horror film Scream, which marked his breakthrough in Hollywood. One of Schreiber’s most notable performances came in the 2005 film The Manchurian Candidate, where he starred alongside Denzel Washington and Meryl Streep.
