Biography

Zelda Williams is an American actress, director, producer, and writer. She was born on July 31, 1989, in New York City, USA. Zelda is the daughter of the legendary comedian and actor, Robin Williams, and Marsha Garces Williams. Growing up, Zelda showed an early interest in the entertainment industry, influenced by her father’s successful career. She attended the Wildwood School in Los Angeles, where she actively participated in theater productions and honed her acting skills. However, Zelda initially focused on pursuing a career in writing, attending Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. In 2010, Zelda made her acting debut in a minor role in the film Nobody’s Daughter Haewon. She continued to land roles in both film and television projects, including Were the World Mine and Detention in 2011. Her breakthrough came in 2013 when she appeared in the hit television series Teen Wolf, where she played the role of Caitlin. Apart from acting, Zelda also explored other aspects of the film industry. She worked as a director and producer for the short film Shrimp in 2018. Zelda’s passion for writing also led her to contribute to various publications, including The Huffington Post, where she wrote articles about important social issues. Zelda has not been one to shy away from addressing mental health issues, having witnessed her father’s struggles before his tragic death in 2014. She has often used her platform to advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention, emphasizing the importance of seeking help and breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness.
