Biography
Dean Cain is an American actor, producer, and former football player. He was born on July 31, 1966, in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Cain rose to fame for his portrayal of Clark Kent/Superman in the popular television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, which aired from 1993 to 1997. Before pursuing a career in acting, Cain had a successful stint as a football player. He played college football at Princeton University, where he earned a degree in history. After college, he was signed by the Buffalo Bills in the NFL but suffered a knee injury that ended his football career. Cain made his acting debut in the late 1980s, appearing in various television shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210 and Grapevine. However, it was his role as the iconic superhero Superman that catapulted him to fame and made him a household name. His on-screen chemistry with co-star Teri Hatcher garnered praise from viewers and critics alike. Following the success of Lois & Clark, Dean Cain continued to work in television, starring in several movies and series.
